So, we had an opening, complete with bank vault speakeasy (a sweltering one at that), band, and surrealist activity throughout the night. Thanks to press photographer Devon Lindsay for the photos. Drawing games and investigations ruled the early part of the evening with the odd disruption and illicit throwing of dice. A few plants within our crowd of guests made the evening. Then, the fuzz showed up raided the bar, got a little rough with the patrons, but with some encouragement allowed the evening to continue. Though they couldn’t keep their guns holstered and even got a little smarmy with the media Chess and a select stash of scotch helped the night along while shady deals and crooked cops kept things interesting. Great evening and thanks to everyone who helped pull this off and came out. Drop in, the office is open for viewing and snooping till July 11. Other operatives will be in the office Tuesday through Saturday for the remainder of June. I’ll be back in late June and July and the odd Saturday until then. See previous post for details on hours. I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org

two days till we open a physical office of surrealist investigations! In keeping with the theme of exquisite corpse and manipulating chance, here is an interview with our lead investigator.
With 2 weeks until we open our physical office space, here are four pieces of our exquisite corpse invitation to the opening. Of course, each invitation is unique and contains one piece of an exquisite corpse. Pieces of that corpse have been drawn over 3 or 4 different invites, so your invitation will fit together with other guest’s invitations. As these have been disseminated people are asked whether they’d like an invite with a drawing already on it or a blank containing a few lines overlapped from someone else’s work that they can then complete. Guests are then encouraged to bring their invitation to the office seek each other out to put together the corpse. Present your pieced together corpse at the office and we will present you with artwork from the office. Thank you to all that helped be start the corpses.
