Happy corpse all by herself. So… I had some mysterious guests the other night at the office and we had a great evening of drawing. One of the resulting corpses ended up being a one person show, I’m guessing because the rest of us were too slow.
With 2 weeks until we open our physical office space, here are four pieces of our exquisite corpse invitation to the opening. Of course, each invitation is unique and contains one piece of an exquisite corpse. Pieces of that corpse have been drawn over 3 or 4 different invites, so your invitation will fit together with other guest’s invitations. As these have been disseminated people are asked whether they’d like an invite with a drawing already on it or a blank containing a few lines overlapped from someone else’s work that they can then complete. Guests are then encouraged to bring their invitation to the office seek each other out to put together the corpse. Present your pieced together corpse at the office and we will present you with artwork from the office. Thank you to all that helped be start the corpses.
Found myself out and about without a sketchbook and the usual assortment of pens, so we took a part a paper napkin ring and I don’t remember where we got the pen.
I thought it was a little early to be refilling a pen, and it turned out to be a cleaning issue. So, here we have another scrap of newspaper soaking up more ink with Pierre Trudeau. 
The few of you who have followed this blog for a while may remember A Narrative Corpse project from a couple of years ago. I’ve since modified this project to a single panel circulated amongst anyone who will take it. Basically, a person receives a drawn (or painted or collaged or photographed or whatever the preferred media) panel and is asked to respond to it on a blank panel. It is a visual correspondence from panel to panel. I have a few streams of narrative on the go with the goal being to randomly reorganise the narrative with every exhibition or reprinting of it. Still not sure how to reconfigure it in a zine format, but I am working on a few possibilities. Ideally, I mail you a package including the latest panel, a blank panel, instructions, a card and a SASE to return your panel. The above image gives you an example of what I’m talking about. Your artwork is then passed onto the next participant. I’m asking for a 1 week turnaround time on the work, not including mailing.
