You may have noticed an old typewriter in images from my office. I left a sheet of paper in it, and let people type away as they please. I believe the text began at the grand opening and was added to throughout the exhibition. Not too bad considering the age of the typewriter. Might be time for a new ribbon, though.
The Office of Surrealist Investigations began out of the surrealist drawing game of exquisite corpse and explorations between the surrealists and the Black Dahlia murder. Drawing queues from Art Spiegelman's narrative corpse, the drawing games have opened up this process further and into other media through collaborations with artists and non-artists resulting in zines and gallery exhibitions.
